When used with certain Nikon micro lenses, this Nikon ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter Set can be used to easily copy or re-photograph your 35mm negatives and slides. The Adapter can be fitted to the front of the lens and holds the inserted negative or slide at the minimum focusing distance, and negatives and slides can me mounted into dedicated film holders to hold them taut and ensure critical sharpness. While certain digital cameras such as the D850 offer helpful settings which make digitizing easy, this adapter can be used with any camera which can be used with the following lenses:
- Nikon AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8 G
- Nikon AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED (in conjunction with the included 62mm Adapter A)
- Nikon AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D (in conjunction with included 62mm Adapter B)
- Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8
