The Bronica ETRSi was the last evolution in Bronica's ETR system of medium format cameras. The ETRSi is a modular system camera capable of interchanging lenses, film backs, prisms, screens and winder grips. It is a camera that is highly customizable for a large variety of uses. It uses 120 film and produces 6x4.5cm images. The camera uses a leaf shutter with speeds ranging from 8 seconds to 1/500th (plus Bulb). The ETR cameras do not have meters built into the camera body, instead relying on accessory meter prism finders for TTL light metering. The leaf shutters in all Bronica ETR lenses are electronically-controlled and require battery power to operate. In the event of power loss, the shutter is capable of firing only at 1/500 and Bulb.
The ETRSi offered a few improved features over its earlier predecessors. The ETRSi has SCA/TTL flash capability with compatible flashes. It has replaced the earlier Time (T) shutter setting with a Bulb (B) setting. The ETRSi also has a mirror lock as well as an in-viewfinder multiple exposure indicator.
