This Tamron 24-48mm f3.5-3.8 SP lens is part of Tamron's Adaptall-2 series of lenses. It is a wide angle zoom lens with focal lengths ranging from a very wide 24mm (great for landscapes and cityscapes) to a more standard 48mm. It has a maximum f3.5 aperture at 24mm that varies only slightly to f3.8 as the lens is zoomed to 48mm. It is a member of the Tamron SP family of lenses known for their higher quality. Additionally it is an Adaptall-2 lens capable of interchanging its lens mount. This allows the lens to be used across camera systems.
This lens is currently fitted with a Nikon F mount adapter making it compatible with Nikon 35mm SLR cameras that use both the Non-AI and AI variants of the F-mount.
