The Nikon FE2 is the successor to the popular Nikon FE camera. It is a well-designed SLR camera that is bound to become the mainstay of your camera arsenal. It has a vertically-travelling, focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 8 seconds to 1/4000, plus Bulb and a flash sync of 1/250. Exposure modes include either full manual or aperture priority and the FE2 also adds a +/-2 stop exposure compensation feature. Metering is through-the-lens (TTL) and the camera also has provisions for TTL OTF (off-the-film) flash metering when using dedicated flashes. Other useful features of the FE2 include a mechanical self-timer (which also serves as mirror lock-up), depth of field preview and multiple exposures.
The FE2 is compatible with Nikon AI and AIS lenses. It should not be used with Non-AI lenses.
This camera requires two V76 (SR44/ LR44) batteries for almost all functions.
