The Canon EOS A2 camera is an autofocus, 35mm film SLR camera produced by Canon. The A2 is a highly capable SLR with five autofocus points, a 16-zone evaluative meter that can be linked to the selected AF point, a 3.5% spot meter, and several different exposure modes including metered Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and full AE Program. The A2 has a built-in flash, red eye reduction, and flash exposure bracketing. It is capable of multiple exposures and continuous firing. There is also a custom function mode for personalizing various functions of camera operation.
The Canon A2 is similar to the Canon A2E and Canon EOS 5 but lacks the Eye Control feature of those models. This camera uses Canon EF-mount lenses.
