The Canon EOS 5 is a semi-professional, autofocus, 35mm SLR camera. It was Canon's first camera to feature their patented Eye Control technology which allows the user to choose the AF point in the viewfinder simply by looking at it. The EOS 5 is capable of full Program exposure, as well as Aperture or Shutter Priority and Manual exposure modes. Meanwhile the camera can be set to evaluative, center-weighted or spot metering. The EOS 5 has a built-in electronic flash. The focal plane shutter is capable of a top speed of 1/8000. The EOS 5 is a solid camera for a large variety of photographers. If you want a highly capable but affordable SLR body for use with Canon EF lenses, this is a great choice.
