Released in 1974, the Fujica GL690 was the third entry in Fuji's line of medium format rangefinder cameras. Like its predecessors, the GL690 features interchangeable lenses with leaf shutters located within the lenses themselves instead of the camera body. Also as with the previous cameras in the series, the GL690 Professional uses 120 roll film to produce eight 6x9cm exposures per roll. The differences with the "GL" version are pretty small. The GL690 Professional has a second shutter button located on the front of the camera. The finder magnification was also increased from 84% to 92% for easier critical focusing.
The Fujica G690 series are known for being mechanically fussy in their old age and difficult to repair. This camera has been tested but is sold with no warranty for the aforementioned reasons.
