The Contessa Deckrullo-Nettel is one of a series of folding plate cameras made Contessa. The Deckrullo-Nettel model was introduced in 1919 with production lasting until 1926. They were made in various formats including 6.5x9cm, 9x12cm, 10x15cm and 13x18cm. The camera has a focal plane shutter with the top speed varying based on format. One uncommon feature of this camera is the horizontal and vertical movements available on the lens board. The Deckrullo-Nettel has a ground glass back for focusing and composition or a telescopic frame finder for fast, approximate framing. The camera could be found fitted with a variety of lenses.
This is the 9x12cm version of the Deckrullo-Nettel.
This is a "Tropical" edition of the Contessa Deckrullo-Nettel, featuring a beautiful uncovered wood body and brown bellows. It is fitted with a Zeiss 13.5cm f4.5 Tessar lens.
