The Beseler Topcon Super D (also known as the Topcon RE Super) is a solid, 35mm SLR camera.  It is historically significant for being the first 35mm SLR to have through-the-lens metering. It features a focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 1 second to 1/1000, plus Bulb. The shutter release is located on the front face of the camera, instead of the top.  There is a mechanical self-timer and depth-of-field preview. The Beseler Topcon Super D can change both its prisms and its lenses, utilizing the Exakta bayonet lens mount.
