This Gandolfi Quarter Plate camera is an early 20th century wooden tailboard-style large format camera. Founded in 1885, Gandolfi was a British camera manufacturer that specialized in handmade, wood and brass large format cameras.  This specimen accepts quarter plates (3.25" x 4.25") and has been modified with a variable diameter iris for holding barrel lenses.
