The Voigtlander Bessa R is a modern 35mm rangefinder camera that was introduced in 2000. It features a combined viewfinder/rangefinder window with selectable frame lines for 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 90mm lenses. It has a built-in TTL off-the-film plane light meter. Shutter speeds range from 1 second to 1/2000, plus Bulb. It uses the M39 thread mount (same as Leica and Canon rangefinders). It is a light weight and inexpensive alternative to buying a Leica rangefinder camera.
