This Sigma 600mm f8 Mirror-Telephoto is an ultra-telephoto mirror lens. Mirror lenses are extremely compact because rather than having a series of glass optics to achieve its focal length they use mirrors. These lenses have fixed apertures and create a unique out of focus area due to the lens having a mirror in its center. They are an excellent and low-cost means of achieving super telephoto focal lengths without carrying around a large and heavy lens.
This lens has an 86mm filter thread.
This lens has the universal M42 threaded lens mount, allowing it to be used on SLR cameras using M42 lenses, such as Pentax Spotmatics.
