The Pentax SFXn is notable as Pentax's first autofocus SLR camera. The SF1n is an updated version of that earlier model. The SF1 / SF1n/SFXn offers full autofocus capabilities with two modes: single or continuous AF. It has several different exposure modes, including Program, Shutter-Priority, Aperture-Priority and metered Manual. The camera has a built-in flash unit that uses TTL flash metering can also be used as an automatic fill flash unit.
The standard SF1 offered shutter speeds of 30 seconds up to 1/2000, with a flash sync of 1/100, while the updated SFXn has a top speed of 1/4000 and an improved flash sync of 1/250.
Both the SF1 and SF1n/SFXn work with all K-mount lenses. You can use manual focus lenses and the camera provides electronic focus confirmation in the viewfinder. PK-A lenses work with all exposure modes while PK-M lenses are limited to manual and Aperture-Priority modes.
