The Pentax K1000 camera is a 35mm single lens reflex film camera designed for Pentax PK-M mount lenses. It is considered THE student camera and has started many a photographer on their journey. The Pentax K1000 is renowned for its simplicity of use as well as its reliability. The K1000 doesn't have much in the way of bells and whistles, but the simpler interface makes learning the camera very easy. Its mechanical shutter is capable of speeds from 1 second to 1/1000, plus Bulb. A TTL light meter is visible in the viewfinder in the form of a single, floating needle (also a breeze to get the hang of and use). If you are looking to begin a journey as a film photographer, or want a stalwart companion for the camera bag, get a K1000.
This is a camera kit like no other. The camera has been fully refurbished, and not only has it been re-coated in a lovely, rich glossy red finish, but the kit includes a Pentax 50mm f2 SMC lens that has also been customized with the same red finish.
