The Minolta Hi-Matic 7s is a rangefinder camera that uses 35mm film. This camera has a fixed 45mm f1.8 Rokkor-PF lens and an internal CdS light meter and an automatic exposure setting to help produce perfectly exposed images. The leaf shutter is capable of speeds from 1/4s to 1/500, plus Bulb mode. Aperture selection ranges from f1.8 at the maximum to f22 at the minimum with full stop clicks. The Automatic exposure setting works from EV5.7 - 17. The light meter originally required a 1.3v PX625 mercury battery that is now no longer available. Modern 1.5v 625 batteries can be used but the extra voltage will make the meter inaccurate unless the camera is recalibrated.
