This Pentax SF1 is an autofocus, SLR film camera produced by Pentax in 1987. At the time of its introduction it was the world's first autofocus 35mm SLR camera with a built-in TTL flash. The SF1 offers a versatile array of features. It is capable of Program auto exposure, Shutter and Aperture Priority as well as metered Manual modes. It can calculate exposure speeds ranging from 7 hours to 1/2000 of a second. It autofocuses with Pentax PK-AF lenses, but can still accept Pentax manual focus PK lenses. The built-in flash can be used on its own or paired with a second flash unit mounted in the offset hotshoe. The SF1 supports a range of film ISO speeds from 6-6400 and can read DX coding.
The SF1 requires one 2CR5 battery for power. It was known as the Pentax SFX in other markets.
