The Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 DGX is a high-precision, autofocus teleconverter for Canon cameras using the EF lens mount. It doubles the focal length of lenses mounted to it at the cost of two stops of light. A 300mm f4 becomes a 600mm f8. In addition, the Teleplus 300 DGX has a genuine gate array IC that provides full communication between camera and lens in regard to metering and flash exposure and is designed to communicate as well as original manufacturer's teleconverters. The Teleplus 300 DGX also retains the original lens' minimum focusing distance.
This teleconverter is designed for lenses that have a focal length of 100mm or greater and is best suited for lenses between 200mm to 500mm. It will work with zoom lenses as well but is not recommended for zoom lenses that have a range starting below 50mm. It is does not work with Canon EF-S lenses.
