The Rollei Gelb-Hell (German for "light yellow") is a very light yellow filter. A light yellow filter such as this one is designed for use with black and white films and adds a very slight bump in contrast, as well as slightly tweaking tonal separation. A light yellow filter will slight lighten yellow/orange/red subject matter while having a very slight darkening effect on blues. A filter such as this can easily be left on a camera all the time for the dedicated B&W photographer.
This filter will have about a 1 stop filter factor.
This filter has a Bay I filter mount and is appropriate for medium format TLR cameras that accept Bay I filters.
