This Carl Zeiss 28mm f2.8 Biogon is a wide angle lens that was originally made for the Contax G camera system. It is a beautiful lens known for superb image quality and is one of the more sought-after lenses in the Contax G system (which is known for a lineup of amazing optics).
This lens has been modified for use on Leica M39 cameras and is rangefinder-coupled, allowing accurate manual focusing. Because of these modifications, this lens will no longer autofocus and it can no longer be mounted on Contax G cameras.
