The Reality So Subtle 6x17 is a medium format pinhole camera designed and built by Irish pinhole camera designer James Guerin. It produces four 6x17cm images on a roll of 120 film. It has a finely made, precise pinhole that renders incredibly sharp images despite the lack of a glass optic. The Reality So Subtle 6x17 has a curved film plane that prevents exposure fall off at the left and right edges of the image, allowing even exposure across the entire panoramic frame.
The Reality So Subtle 6x17 Dual Pinhole has two pinholes. One is centered in the body of the camera for standard fields of view. A second pinhole is located above the centered pinhole, allowing the camera's field of view to be directed upward without tilting the camera. This effectively recreates the "rise" feature of large format cameras and allows for the elimination of converging vertical lines. It also allows the horizon line to be moved from the center of the frame without tilting the camera, which would cause it to bow due to the curved film plane.
It has an effective aperture of f233 and a 70mm focal length with a field of view of 141 degrees.
