This Linhof Color is a 4x5 monorail camera from the late 1950's. It features a front standard capable of the full range of movements and a rear standard with tilt and swing. Unlike the later Kardan Color, the rear standard is not capable of rise or shift. It does have a rotating back for easy adjustment between landscape and portrait orientation. Special metal alloys were used in the construction of the Linhof Color that helps keep it weight below 5 pounds (not counting lens). The Linhof Color is can accept lenses between 90mm to 360mm on standard lens boards. It uses Linhof Technika lens boards. This is a solid and precise camera for studio work as well as being reasonably portable.
Kit includes: Color body on shortened rail, customized tripod yoke mounted to Husky TV tripod, Linhof Super Rollex film back, Technika-style swing-out ground glass, Calumet 150mm f5.6 Caltar-S II lens (some schneideritis internal) on Wista lens board, unbranded 8x loupe, (20x) 4x5 film holders, and a dark cloth.
The Color body has been modified, the top part of the rear standard has been drilled out to allow ultrawide lenses to be mounted.
