The Sinar F is a relatively lightweight large format camera that is designed to be highly modular and adaptable within the Sinar camera family. For example, the camera can change out rear standards to switch between 4x5, 5x7 or 8x10 formats. It can also change standards in order to upgrade to a Sinar P. The Sinar F also boasts a full range of movements, including:
- +/- 11cm rise and fall on both front and rear standards
- 4cm left shift, 2cm right shift on rear standard
- 5cm left shift, 3 cm right shift on front standard
- +/- 40 degrees tilt (base axis) on both standards
- +/- 50 degrees swing on both standards
