Hasselblad Proxar filters are close up filter designed for the Hasselblad system of medium format cameras. Depending upon the strength of the filter, when attached to the lens they reduce the focusing distance by varying amounts, allowing closer-than-normal focus and increased macro magnification.
This is a Proxar 2m, which reduces the focusing distance of the lens to 2 meters (6.6 feet) when the lens is set to infinity to focus. If the lens is focused closer than infinity the Proxar reduces the focusing distance even more than that 6.6 foot distance.
This filter has a Bay 60 lens mount.
