This Canon 310XL is a motion picture camera designed for use with Super 8 film. It is fitted with a super-fast Canon 8.5-25.5mm f1.0 Macro lens: ideal for low-light shooting. This camera enables close shooting distances up to 215mm from the film plane if the zoom lever is set at "Macro." Unlike it's predecessor the 514XL, this lower-cost version of the camera omitted the self timer and has an external metering system.
