The rangefinder is slightly misaligned, but usable. There is a some very minor separation around the edge of the lens that will not affect image quality.

This Nikon SP is an interchangeable lens, 35mm rangefinder camera. It is the precursor to the Nikon F SLR camera. You can argue that the SP stands for "special" (really it is a combination of S for S series and P for Professional) because this rangefinder camera is pretty special in a few ways. The most notable is the SP's finder which can accommodate up to six different focal lengths of lenses. The SP has a combined viewfinder/rangefinder that can be adjusted for the 50mm, 85mm, 105mm and 135mm focal lengths. It has a second wide angle viewfinder (no rangefinder patch) that has framelines for 35mm and 28mm lenses. This came at a time when the Leica M3 and M2 only supported three focal lengths. The SP also boasts a titanium focal plane shutter with speeds up to 1/1000. The camera could support a motor drive attachment and was the first Nikon to have a self-timer.
