This Leica 50mm f/1.4 Summilux-M (serial number 3929958) is an ultra-fast prime lens manufactured by Leica Germany. It was the go-to high speed standard lens for many a Leica M body from the lens' introduction in 1961 until it was replaced with an aspherical version in 2004. The long run has allowed this lens to build up quite the reputation and legendary status.
This lens is appropriate for the Leica M bayonet mount cameras such as the classic Leica M3. It is compatible with modern Leica M mount cameras.
This is the "type 3" version of the Leica 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M, produced between 1992-2004. It uses 46mm filters and has the built-in, telescoping lens hood. It also comes with its original box.
