Fomapan 100 Classic is a panchromatic black and white negative film manufactured in Czech Republich by Foma Bohemia. It is known for its low price, classic (and grainy) look, deep shadows, and temperamental exposure latitude. It is not only a great film for photographers on a budget, but has a charm all its own when it comes to rendering images. If you are looking to try something a bit different from the mainstream films, give a roll of Fomapan 100 a go.
Developing note: For certain batches of film Foma recommends an extended prewash time of 20-30 minutes to fully remove the anti-halation layer. They also recommend avoiding the use of acidic stop baths and an extended final wash of 20-30 minutes. Failure to follow these steps has been known to leave small spots on the negatives which show up as white in prints or scans.
