Pentax UC-1 / Espio Mini
The Pentax UC-1, otherwise known as the Espio Mini, is a compact, autofocus point-and-shoot 35mm camera that has a fixed 32mm f3.5 lens. The camera was sold as the UC-1 in North America and included a date stamping features, whereas internationally it was sold as the Espio Mini model and has a panorama function instead. The UC-1 has a passive phase-matching autofocus type that works well even in low-light conditions. Pressing the shutter button halfway triggers a focus lock feature which can be quite handy. Other features include various flash modes, a self-timer, and a DX-decoding system that reads film speed automatically. This little camera often flies under the radar of many photographers, but those that know it, speak highly of the quality of its lens.
This camera requires one CR123 battery to function.
