A popular film introduced in South America and Asia in the 1990s, Pro Image 100 was only released to the European and North America markets in 2019. Available at the time in only 35mm, the film is characterized as a professional film and sits between Kodak's Ektar and Portra emulsions in terms of saturation, contrast and grain.
We have found it a bit punchier than Portra but it is still delivers good skin tones and natural colors. It is also well-suited for use in hot climates and is apparently a bit more resistant to the effects of heat damage over time. A great film if you are going to be traveling somewhere tropical!
We have included sample images as well as the data sheet to help you become more acquainted with this color emulsion.
